Electronic Arts announced Tuesday that this fall's planned FIFA 23 is the final game during a 30-year period carrying the name of Mut 23 Coins the world's most governing football body. Starting in July 2023 EA Sports' soccer flagship will be known as EA Sports FC.
"The launch of EA SPORTS FC will not impact any current EA Sports international football game, and EA as well as FIFA are thrilled to release the biggest, most extensive EA SPORTS FIFA ever in the fall of this year," EA said in an announcement. "Our final FIFA version will also contain more game modes as well as teams, features, leagues, players, and competitions than prior edition."
In the fall of 2011, Cam Weber, EA Sports' chief executive officer and general manager stated that the company is re-evaluating its license agreement with FIFA considering the vast collection of licenses it had already obtained, from individual soccer leagues and teams, and what the FIFA brand actually added to the game. In the same day, it was revealed that EA had filed trademarks in U.K. for a game named "EA Sports FC."
In the statement issued on Tuesday, EA Chief Executive Andrew Wilson said EA Sports FC will be "the biggest and most powerful football club in the world, situated at the center of football fandom."
"For more than 30 years we've built the biggest football club in the world comprising many millions of football players and thousands of athletes partners Buy Madden 23 Coins, as well as hundreds of federations, leagues, and teams," Wilson said. "EA SPORTS FC is the team for each one of them, as well as for football fans everywhere.
